Hi, I’m Katie!
I’m a former local news anchor turning my passion for story-telling, traveling and running… into my dream career. You can find me somewhere between training for a marathon, and eating my way through every carb in Paris. Hey, life’s about balance… right?
I fell in love with running well into my twenties. Before 25, I had never run a mile, in. my. life. I was overweight and sluggish. I’ve learned first hand how running can change your life, and I hope other people will see my blog and realize they too can be a runner!
My favorite quote is from runner and author, John Bingham:
“If you run, you are a runner. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far. It doesn’t matter if today is your first day or if you’ve been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get.
You just run.”
I still struggle with keeping fitness and diet in check, and I’ve created this blog for accountability.
Accountability to be healthy –but also accountability to live passionately– by doing what I’ve always wanted to do; tell good stories.
I hope my blog will inspire you to travel, be active, and connect with people over a shared love for running the world #Laceup
